Working out of Langley, BC, this role will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of all warehouses, yards, inventory management, and all shipping and receiving functions. They will provide general supervision of the branch’s inventory accuracy and provide direct supervision to shipping and receiving personnel.

As the Warehouse Lead, your job duties include but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide leadership, direction and guidance to shipping and receiving employees
• Oversee the day-to-day shipping and receiving operations and functions
• Organize, coordination and maintain records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
• Inspect shipments upon arrival and document any signs of damage or missing items
• Coordinate activities and reports as requested by Operations/ Sales departments
• Use forklift to move goods from shipping and receiving platform to storage/ work area
• Oversee inventory management and participate in regular inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy and optimize inventory levels
• Work closely with Operations Manager to manage safety issues, employee concerns, productivity, and quality assurance
• Maintain a neat and organized shipping bay and warehouse
• Provide exceptional customer service to walk-in customers
• Lead staff engaged in picking, packing, shipping and receiving BSL products
• Ensure staff are adequately trained and have required safety training needed to perform their duties
• Prepare and communicate Inventory Transfer Requests (ITR)
• Process goods receipts to ensure efficient and accurate purchase orders
• Monitor and lead worksite safety and compliance of staff
• Troubleshoot inventory issues and respond quickly to customer/ client inquiries
• Other duties as required by Operations Manager

Qualifications:
• Diploma in supply chain management/warehouse management or related field
• Proven experience with inventory management
• 4+ years of shipping and receiving experience
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP or other relevant ERP systems
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software quickly
• Knowledge of road construction and/or traffic control industry is a strong asset
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Forklift experience is preferred
