VORTEQ®
The VORTEQ® is a trailer mounted attenuator used to absorb rear-end impacts during stationary and mobile operations. The open tube-in-tube frame allows for easy access during maintenance inspections and repairs. The lightweight unit requires a support vehicle with a minimum weight of 9,920 lbs. (4,500 kg). The VORTEQ® is NCHRP Report 350 Test Level 3 compliant.
