Working out of Langley, BC, this role is a blend of outside sales and customer service focused on growing sales through existing and new business. Working in a fast-paced environment, they will provide clients with sales and rental information and put together quotes in SAP for projects. The ideal candidate for this position is a team player who is eager to go beyond routine duties to accomplish tasks and is able to see the big picture.

As an Account Manager, you will be able to travel extensively spending 70% of their time outside of the office and as needed throughout their territory. Your job duties include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Acquire new business accounts in your specified territory
  • Make sales calls, presentation demonstrations of products
  • Follow-up on leads and close new business opportunities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by phone, e-mail and in-person
  • Provide accurate quotes for sales and rentals
  • Ability to communicate with many people on different levels business
  • Process sales and rentals in SAP
  • Answer customer inquiries about traffic control regulations and products
  • Arrange deliveries for product sales and rentals
  • Load trucks for customers and deliveries when needed
  • Participate and represent the company at trade shows, seminars, and marketing events
  • Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with our customers
  • Interpret tender documentation for accurate project quoting and management
  • Perform cold calls in the field and on the phone for sales when necessary
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP
  • Able to thrive in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to listen and collaborate with customers to identify issues and find solutions
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service or sales experience
  • Good-time management with an ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to travel extensively
  • Knowledge of road construction and/or traffic control industry is a strong asset
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software quickly
