Working from out of Langley, BC, this role is a blend of sales, customer service and project coordination for a fast-paced small business. They will provide clients with sales and rental information and put together quotes in SAP for projects as well as coordinating jobs with field technicians and dispatching deliveries.

As Customer Service Representative / Rental Coordinator, you will be a team player who is eager to go beyond routine duties to accomplish tasks and is able to see the big picture. Your job duties include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by phone, e-mail and in person
  • Provide accurate quotes for sales and rentals
  • Process sales and rentals in SAP
  • Answer customer inquiries about traffic control regulations and products
  • Arrange deliveries for product sales and rentals
  • Load trucks for customers and deliveries when needed
  • Coordinate traffic field technicians
  • Ability to present a professional image and interact positively with our customers
  • Create plans for temporary traffic accommodations using Rapid Plan
  • Interpret tender documentation for accurate project quoting and management
  • Place cold calls for sales when necessary, during the slow season
  • Assess and perform minor maintenance on trailer mounted equipment
  • Plan, organize and oversee rental scheduling and installation
  • Arrange maintenance and repair of rental products
  • Track, analyze and forecast rental scheduling trends where possible
  • Monitor inventory and prepare rental inventory counts
  • Visit customer work sites and make rental deliveries as needed
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Rapid Plan would be desirable
  • Minimum 3 years of customer service or sales experience
  • Able to thrive in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Good-time management with an ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Knowledge of road construction and/or traffic control industry is a strong asset
  • Ability to listen and collaborate with customers to identify issues and find solutions
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new software quickly
