Working out of Sturgeon County, AB, this role will be responsible for the continued growth and profitability of Barricades and Signs within their designation sales region.

As the Director of Sales, you will manage day-to-day sales activities and ensure their team’s sales targets are being met or exceeded. Your job duties include but are not limited to, the following:
• Supervise and support all branch sales staff
• Accountable and responsible for sales targets at your branch
• Monitor bids, tenders and pricing direction for your region in coordination with Estimating Team
• Participate in annual budget planning in consultation with Executive Team
• Implement and monitor business improvement strategies, policies and procedures
• Set budgets for effective use of resources to optimize performance and growth
• Manage recruitment, staff development and succession planning for sales department
• Develop, implement and monitor the regionals sales targets and individual performance
• Ensure all sales employees are properly trained and competent including but not limited to health and safety, SAP, HubSpot, and other sales procedures
• Have the wiliness to put extra time in as required for projects
• Help facilitate regional sales meetings (in person or remotely)
• Develop, implement and maintain the use of HubSpot for quote follow-up with your sales team to drive new business
• Maintain proper safety and employment standards within the branch in conjunction with the Divisional Operations Manager.
• Provide a safe and healthy workplace environment
• Establish and maintain relationships with customers, key accounts, other stakeholders to deliver on the exceptional BSL service level
• Manage customer/ client relationships and resolve service related issues
• Generate quotes, orders and weekly reports in SAP as required
• Attend industry trade shows and other events as needed
• Conduct quarterly and annual reviews of sales branch employees
• Other duties as required and directed by the Vice President of Sales
Qualifications:
• 8+ years of sales or management experience in the road construction industry
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License
• Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or comparable education/experience
• Proven track record as a coach, mentor, and developer of talent within an organization
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and understand the importance of listening and collaborating with customers to identify issues and find solutions
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP, HubSpot and CRM systems
• An ability to drive to organizational goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage conflicting priorities
• Demonstrated ability in people management, strategic planning, change management, and project management
